HANUKAH HARMONY is a full flute choir arrangement of G.F. HANDEL’s march from Judas Maccabeus and traditional hymns of the holiday – Maoz Tzur (Rock of Ages) dating from the 13th century, and Mi Y’amelel (Who Can Retell the Story). Instrument parts include piccolo, four C-flute parts, alto flute, bass flute, and bass 2 or contrabass flute. The alto flute solo, a phrase of the last, is meant to be a single instrument, tempo decided by the soloist. The arrangement has been played during the holiday season a number of years by AFE, and was requested by a former member who is now part of the Israel Flute Choir.
HANUKAH HARMONY Quartet is a smaller ensemble re- arrangement for 4 players (or multiple of 4) with two C-flute parts, an alto, and a bass flute.
