Tchaikovsky – Song Without Words

$10.00

TCHAIKOVSKY –  Chant Sans Parole ( Song Without Words) is the composer at his most jovial, as bouncy as his Dance of the Fairies in the Nutcracker holiday fare. Originally a piano piece, it dances along in “graceful and singing” style for all of 64 measures. It has three C- flute parts, alto flute, and bass flute parts.

Although available separately, it pairs well with Salon Polka, Tchaikovsky’s  genteel version of an ethnic romp, that zips along for twice the measures but little more time. Three C-flute parts, alto, and bass parts, as well as a one-player part alternating between piccolo and flute, are included. Both selections are only of moderate difficulty, although the Polka requires tight ensemble playing.
